of the World ATV Club meeting minutes
March 11th,
2008
There were 12 members and 3 non-members present. The meeting was called to order at 7:01pm. The secretary’s report was read, motion made by Chad and seconded by Doug to accept the minutes. Treasurer’s report was read, Doug made the motion, it was seconded by Alan to accept it until audited. The auditor’s report was read by Debbie. The trail administrator’s report was read by Karl. Bob was unable to attend. He let us know that he needs trail masters. He needs to know who will be there for him. Chad said he would be a trail master. We will also be thinking about spring maintenance, and where we are going to put the Kiosks.
The fundraiser committee reported they are looking for any ideas people may have. Some of the ideas were a 50/50, raffles, sales, memorial day stand, turkey hunt in May (which is similar to a Buck pool.), fishing derby and ATV raffle.
Old Business:
Thank you cards were all sent out to businesses for raffle items
Trail Masters- Chad volunteered to be one.
Kiosks- Lincoln talked to Larry Brown and he said a Kiosk would be fine in Car Brook right by the bridge in the pull off. As far as the Old Foundry Lincoln talked to Spencer Hudson who gave him the ok. Karl also mentioned we should have handicap accessible unit at the foundry which will need to be looked into.
Newsletters will be out at the end of this month. Secretary will put fundraiser committee on it, to find out if anyone else has any ideas.
After some discussion, it was decided to give Breezy Meadows Campground $50 for the electric bill and $50 for propane as a thank you for letting us use the rec. hall. Also we would like to offer them free advertising on our web site. Star made the motion to do all this, it was seconded by Rocky.
The meeting minutes will now be on the web site. Star mentioned we should also put the agenda on it. It was agreed by all.
T-shirt orders need to be in soon. We could possibly sell ad space to help pay for the set up fee. Maybe even sell them on Memorial Day. After some discussion, it was decided to have the club purchase the rest to make it a full order. Rocky made the motion to do this, it was seconded by Doug.

New Business:
The officers met with Dave Lunnie about having our own web site. We purchased www.towatv.com , www.towatv.net, and www.towatv.org because they were available. Dave has been maintaining the site for $100 a year. He will continue with this. We will hire him to do the new site at $10/hr not to exceed 15 hours. If there is need to extend the hours, we will discuss it then, if necessary. The motion was made by PJ to go ahead with this, it was seconded by Rocky. The officers will make the final decisions on what goes on the site.
VASA let us know not to open our trails too early this year due to the amount of snow we have. VASA is also working with VELCO. Lincoln mentioned the safety course is not available yet. Lincoln let us know that VASA has apparel for sale and he has order forms.
Lincoln let us know that we can have an ATV rodeo at Aleta Mitchell’s field. Either the 2nd or 3rd weekend in August. It was decided the 3rd weekend would be the best. We need to check into liability insurance for this.
Lincoln also let us know he found a wood chipper in Northern Tool and Equipment for $799. We will discuss this again later on. We need to stay in close contact with the snowmobile club for trail maintenance. Ed Bunnell let us know that snow machine trails need to be 15 feet wide with corners at 12 feet for the groomer to fit.
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:30pm. Chad made the motion to adjourn, it was seconded by Ed. Next meeting will be April 8th at 7pm at Breezy Meadows Campground Rec. Hall.
