Top of the World ATV Club Meeting Minutes Sept. 10th, 2008
There were 12 members present. The Secretary’s report was read and accepted with corrections. Motion made by Star and seconded by Alice. Treasurer not being present the president and secretary gave a report to the best of their knowledge. Motion made by Rocky and seconded by Alice to accept until audited. Trial Administrators report given by Bob. He said the kiosk parking areas are cleared and cut. The kiosks themselves have been cut. Some supplies had to be bought for the cutting of the kiosks.
The trails are beat and washed out, it will cost us some money next year to fix the trails that have taken the weather hard. Trail maintenance will be better arranged next year. He also let us know that there is a new club starting and they would like to be connected with our trails.
Fundraiser committee there was no one present so Lincoln let everyone know we still have a few candy bars for sale.
VASA update-
Lincoln let everyone know that he has the new map with the trails on it so it can be updated with any changes, they need it by the end of Oct. VASA is trying to get a start and end date for trails.
The safety course is available online thru the state police and the cost is $30.00 per child. VASA is checking into a better course.
All VASA events people are required to wear helmets.
Karl made a motion to have VASA removed from our banner, it was seconded by Alice. First motion was rescinded after much discussion and a new motion by Karl to have a second banner made that doesn’t have VASA on it, so we can use both. The motion was seconded by Alice.
Star mentioned that at Mt. Washington a lot of people there were not wearing helmets- and wondered why? Mt. Washington ride for this fall, Lincoln will be checking into this.
VORA meeting will be Oct. 25th. The Town of Concord wants to know from us if anyone wants to head the ancient roads committee so we don’t lose them from our town. Alice made a motion that we join VORA as a group, it was seconded by Rocky.
