MArch Snow and Mud

During the winter meetings there was an average of about 20 members present.

In December it was decided to invite the landowners to our annual meeting and give $50. gas cards as a thank you.

I was decided as a club that we will not pay mileage to anyone. PJ donated a chainsaw for the club to use for trail maintenance. Thank you PJ. We also gave $100. to a needy family. In January, (at our annual meeting) we found out that there are 16,830 ATV’s registered in the state of VT. Our club is the 2nd biggest club in the state. Thanks to Larry Brown for having all the land to help us out with trails.

We will soon be putting up Kiosks with trail info on them.

Charlotte Farrow has agreed to audit of 2007 books for a $75. fee.

Thanks to Mark for all his hard work for the club in 2007.

In February, it was mentioned that we made $417. on our raffle. We sent thank you cards to all the businesses that donated to the raffle.

The 2008 memberships are available through any officer and point of sales.

We need some trail masters both in Concord and Lunenburg. Bob Tucker will be the trail administrator.

We now have a fundraiser committee consisting of Norma Goulding and Star Lunnie. If anyone else is interested or has any ideas let us know. We also need volunteers to be on any other committees.

The officers are working on trying to find a trail to a restaurant.

Lincoln was nominated to be the VASA representative and Bob Tucker as the alternate.

We discussed having a stand alone web site for the club.

Every years cut off date will be June 1st for prior members to be able to vote at meetings. We will be having officer meetings prior to the club meetings. Lincoln said if any members have any questions or comments fell free to call him. It was also brought up that VASA wants clubs to patrol their trails. In March Chad Sterling volunteered to be a trail master.

We received the OK to put a Kiosk in Car brook and the Old Foundry. As a thank you to Breezy Meadows for letting us use the Rec. Hall for the winter, we will give them $50. toward propane and $50. toward electricity. We also will offer them free advertising on our website. The meeting minutes and agendas will now be on the website.

We talked about selling T-shirts at the Memorial Day gathering in Concord.

Due to the record amount of snow fall, we will be discussing the possibility of opening our trails later than April 15th at the next meeting.

The safety course is not available yet.

VASA has apparel for sale and Lincoln has order forms.

The 3rd weekend in August we can have an ATV rodeo at Aleta Mitchell’s field. This is just in the thought process.
